A WONDERFUL NIGHT FOR THE NORTHWEST ARKANSAS METSQUERADE! THREE HUNDRED AND FORTY THOUSAND DOLLARS WAS RAISED AND THAT MONEY WILL GO TOWARDS RESEARCH GRANTS FOR STAGE IV BREAST CANCER. IT'S AN INSPIRING NIGHT, BUT ALSO ONE WITH MOMENTS OF SADNESS, AS WE RECOGNIZED AND HONORED THOSE WHO'VE DIED FROM THIS DISEASE. People need to understand about where their money is going when they donate. And Metavivor gives 100 percent to research for stage four breast cancer. THE 4TH ANNUAL NORTHWEST ARKANSAS A METSQURADE WAS A GREAT SUCCESS. WHAT STARTED AS AN IDEA, GREW INTO A NATIONWIDE CAMPAIGN! SEVEN OTHER METSQUERADES HAVE BEEN STARTED AROUND THE COUNTRY. ALL OF THESE RAISING MONEY TO BENEFIT METAVIVOR. We are funding only metastatic research, for people that are already metastatic to render it a chronic illness. SATURDAY NIGHT, THE CO-FOUNDERS OF THE NWA METSQUERADE, LISA QUINN AND KELLI DAVIS ALSO RECOGNIZED WOMEN IN THE AUDIENCE WHO ARE METASTATIC There's a lot of people here that you don't recognize as terminal that have stage iv breast cancer. There's 27 women here tonight That are literally dying for a cure and we are here to fund that research. AND, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BEAUTIFULLY DECORATED BALLROOM IS THE METSQUERADE ANGEL TABLE FILLED WITH PHOTOGRAPHS OF PREVIOUS ATTENDEES AND WOMEN WHO WORKED TO RAISE MONEY FOR METAVIVOR. ALL OF THESE WOMEN DIED FROM STAGE IV BREAST CANCER. THIS TABLE ACTS AS A TRIBUTE AND IMPORTANT REMINDER OF THOSE WHOSE LIVES WERE RIPPED AWAY BY THE DISEASE. A NIGHT OF CELEBRATION AND REMEMBRANCE. AN INSPIRING EVENT WITH A FOCUS ON RAISING FUNDS FOR NEW RESEARCH AND MEDICAL TRIALS THAT COULD HELP FUTURE PATIENTS. We are seeing a turnaround to understand public funding for our disease. This is the way to do it. Patients voices are getting louder. And are finally being heard. Right here in NWA - we've had a million dollars raised! Doesn't get better than that.
