The Montana Nonprofit Association is bringing the 2024 Fundraising Summit to Billings, April 10 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Double Tree Hotel. Sponsored by Billings Community Foundation and others, this event is open to all nonprofits, including nonprofit professionals, volunteers, and board members.
The summit is designed to empower fundraisers and philanthropists with current fundraising trends and best practices. With individual giving down in recent years and increasing costs due to inflation and wage competition, many nonprofits are facing constricted budgets. Raising revenue through donations and grants is more critical than ever.
Keynote speaker Mallory Erickson is a fundraising consultant and podcaster with a national following. With a certification in executive coaching, Mallory’s approach is to help fundraisers reframe their mindsets and habits to fundamentally change how they feel about and approach fundraising.

Other sessions include topics on AI in fundraising, estate and planned gifts, trends in major gifts philanthropy, grassroots fundraising, engaging the board, and a panel on fundraising in a difficult economy.
“We’re really happy to bring such high-quality training to the nonprofits in the Billings region,” said Zach Terakedis, Executive Director of Billings Community Foundation. “We have a generous community and great charitable organizations in our region, but they’re not always as engaged as they need to be on fundraising trends. This is a great opportunity to learn more and we’re lucky to have this in Billings.”
In addition, attendees will be able to network with other fundraisers, consultants, and nonprofits from across the state.
Registration is available online at MTNonprofit.org. Tickets start at $95 for smaller nonprofits, scholarships are available, and lunch will be provided for all attendees.
