Mardirossian Facial Aesthetics Offers Top Forehead Contouring Procedures for Transgender Patients

Dr. Mardirossian’s plastic surgery clinic offers one of the most highly recommended forehead contouring procedures currently available.

JUPITER, FL, USA, February 28, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Forehead contouring is a life-altering procedure which allows transgender patients undergoing a Facial Feminization Surgery (FFS) journey to become noticeably more female. This is important, as it not only takes transgender individuals one step closer to their end results, but also boosts the confidence of a woman trapped inside a man’s body.

Dr. Mardirossian’s plastic surgery clinic offers one of the most highly recommended forehead contouring procedures currently available. These services are offered through his south Florida office, and are raved about by his previous and current clients. But why is forehead contouring such a vital part of the FFS journey?

The forehead is one of the features defining both men and women. A man typically has a much heavier brow, which casts a shadow over his eyes and the surrounding facial region. This makes the eyes appear smaller. Women, on the other hand, tend to have a softer oval-shaped contour to their brows which is lighter and more delicate. This allows the light to flow into the eyes and surrounding region to allow an appearance of being brighter and larger.

How does Dr. Mardirossian and his highly-trained, supportive staff conduct this procedure for his transgender patients?
It begins with a small incision just behind the hairline which allows him access to the frontal bone (i.e. the bone which shapes your forehead). The placement of the incision allows for hair to grow over it, thus hiding it away where others cannot see. Then the bone is shaved down to alter its shape. Sometimes this is enough to make the forehead area appear more feminine, particularly if the patient has a heavy brow line. Sometimes a patient’s brow is not thick enough, however. When this occurs, the frontal sinus wall located just behind the brow is removed and reshaped towards the desired results. It is then replaced behind the brow.

The recovery process varies from person to person. When you awake from forehead contouring surgery there is a soft dressing and stitches along the forehead. This is removed after seven days’ time. Swelling and discomfort are normal for the first few days, and patients should remember to take it easy to allow for the body to heal. Most patients can return to work and their normal routines after one to two weeks, although some may require additional time. Numbness in the forehead region off and on for up to three months is also very normal.

Complications are incredibly rare, thanks to Dr. Mardirossian’s skill and care during the procedure. Like all surgeries, however, they do have the potential of arising. Rare but serious complications include: infection, excessive swelling or bruising, nerve injury, and permanent forehead numbness.
