Lejoi Reese of Brave Chick to be Featured on CUTV News Radio

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES, November 16, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- All over the world women find themselves in abusive relationships causing agonizing despair. They desperately need the support of family, friends and therapists to get them through these painful times. But what if what they wear can help to give them a sense of empowerment and lead to healing?

Lejoi Reese is a designer and founder of Brave Chick. Her personally-crafted, hand-made jewelry embodies a pivotal movement against domestic violence. Lejoi’s one-of-a-kind jewelry is created with semi-precious stones containing powerful healing energies that help woman achieve a positive sense of courage and fearlessness.

“Brave Chick is a movement about empowering women,” says Lejoi. “My jewelry helps them exude confidence and feel self-assured every time they wear their pieces.

Brave Chick also gives back to the community. Ten percent of the company’s proceeds are donated to national and local anti-domestic abuse organizations and non-profits that support women’s issues.

“Even if you have not been personally involved in an abusive situation you probably know someone who has. That’s one of my biggest motivations to keep this movement growing,” says Lejoi. “There’s a tremendous number of brave chicks in the world and I want them to feel a part of something awe-inspiring that connects all of us.”

Lejoi attended Rhode Island School of Design where she received both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Fine Arts, and eventually obtained a position as a Design Director for a fashion and home furnishing company making, producing, selling, and designing custom fabric. Although it was extremely rewarding work Lejoi craved more self-expression with her own artistic style.

Lejoi was also enduring domestic violence and abuse leading to depression until she eventually liberated herself by finding the inner strength to escape. This sense of accomplishment inspired her to develop Brave Chick, not only to pursue her creative dreams through designing beautiful jewelry, but also to inspire other women to overcome domestic abuse as she did.

“One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is that it’s ok to ask people for help and support,” explains Lejoi. “It was an extremely tough lesson for me since I had always tried to project how strong I was. I realized I needed the support of loved ones to get me through and remind me of my true identity.”

Lejoi is also active on social media with a FB group entitled “The Brave Chick Movement” which serves to candidly network with other women who desire to share heart felt issues, concepts, and inspire solidarity and support for one another.

CUTV News Radio will feature Lejoi Reese in an interview with Jim Masters on November 20th at 3pm EST.
