“We are delighted and extremely proud to have successfully implemented two new international standards; it’s a fabulous achievement which will help give all of Ready’s partners, clients and prospects an indication of our commitment to quality” says Dave Simons, the CEO of Ready Translations.
ISO 9001 is the world’s most popular international standard for quality management. ISO 9001:2015 was revised in October 2015 in order to address recent changes in the business world. Risk-based decision making and a greater emphasis on leadership are some of the most notable changes in the new standard.
ISO 17100:2015, published in May 2015, is a new ISO standard which replaces the EN 15038 standard. The new standard addresses linguist competencies and qualification processes, as well as project management, request handling and security requirements.
“We have always been focused on quality, and adopted the EN15038 standard some years ago. We saw the introduction of the new standard as an opportunity to review and analyze our processes using the new ISO risk-based framework. From there we devised a strategy to formalize implementation and set ourselves the goal of accredited certification. Now our clients have yet more reasons to have confidence in our solutions”, says Dave Simons.
