Oregon State men's basketball plans public scrimmage for Oct. 23

CORVALLIS - Oregon State will unveil its 2018-19 men's basketball team with a public scrimmage on Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. in Gill Coliseum.

The Orange vs. Black scrimmage features a Beavers team that returns six players from last season's 16-16 squad, plus several newcomers. OSU returns two of the Pac-12's top scorers in forward Tres Tinkle and guard Stephen Thompson Jr.

The scrimmage is free to the public, and doors open at 6 p.m. Several giveaways are planned for fans and students.

The scrimmage also serves as a chance for fans to take a look at purchasing 2018-19 season tickets, as there are no reserved seats for the scrimmage. Season ticket prices for those purchasing new season tickets are $219 for bench seats and $384 for chair back seats, while the prices is $199 and $349 for returning season ticket holders.

Season tickets include a seat to the Dam City Classic in Portland's Moda Center, when the Beavers play host to Texas A&M on Dec. 15.

Oregon State's lone exhibition game is Saturday, Oct. 27 against Montana Tech. The 2018-19 season opener is Nov. 6 against UC Riverside in Gill Coliseum.
