Frisco-based National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) announced this week its inaugural Women of Hope Awards luncheon featuring Lillie D. Shockney, a two-time breast cancer survivor and director of the Johns Hopkins Breast Center and the director of the cancer survivorship programs at the Johns Hopkins Cancer Center, as its keynote speaker. The luncheon, with presenting sponsor Nature Nate’s Honey Co., will take place on Thursday, May 10 at Verona Villa in Frisco.

To be considered for the 2018 Women of Hope Awards, the nominated women must have provided significant leadership and contribution to the North Texas community throughout her career and live or work in Collin or Denton county. The five nomination categories are: Advocate of the Year, Caregiver of the Year, Courage/Survivor of the Year, Medical Professional of the Year, and Legacy/Family of the Year.
